But is that happening? They seem to be coming to us with fewer basic factual knowledge (multiplication, writing a paragraph, cardinal directions) and fewer problem solving skills.
\nIs it our focus on Math & ELA at the elementary schools? The loss of librarians, which means fewer teachers are doing critical thinking projects? Larger classes makes it hard to do creative things that require moving around or discussions where everyone participates? I don't know.
